Euthanasia

Nowadays, there are numerous debates about the issue the euthanasia. Some people hold the opinion that euthanasia should be legal. Others, however, contradict it. From my point of view, I would support that euthanasia should be legal, because euthanasia can free people from suffering, reduce people financial burden and save resources.

In the first place, the most important reason in support of my view is that euthanasia can free people from suffering. As we know, there are so many people with cancer. Cancer is an incurable illness. When people get cancer, they have a lot of pain, which doctors and medication can not help. They can not eat, walk or talk. They just stay in the bed and wait to die. Their life has no meaning. They even lose their dignity. If euthanasia becomes legal, people can choose what they want. Euthanasia can make life more easy and save people from pain.

In the second place, another chief reason to support my view is that euthanasia can help people reduce their financial burden and save resources. When people suffer for the rest their lives, they have to stay in the hospital. They need a person 24 hours to take care them. All of this costs money and resource. In some countries the medical fee is very expensive, such as in China. If people get seriously sick, it is hard to afford that fee. Usually family members spend all of their money but the patient still can not be saved from illness. Even though in some countries don't need to pay medical fee, such as in Canada, people still don't have enough resources. When we go to hospital, we generally have to wait a long time. If you have to take a test or have an operation sometimes you should wait a month or a year. Some of patients can not get timely treatment and become worse and worse. In case euthanasia becomes legal we can save money and resources to help people who really need help and treat patients better.

To sum up, the benefits of euthanasia becoming legal which include freeing people from suffering, reducing financial burden and saving resource. therefore I support making euthanasia legal.
