I did a gall-stone operation 2 month ago. It was a different experience. I would like to share with you.
It was 27 February, in the morning after we asked our neighbour to sent my son go to school my husband my daughter and I went to hospital. My operation's time was 10:15, but I should arrive the hospital at 8 o'clock because I have to do some preparation. We arrived hospital at exactly 8 o'clock. After register I went to a room to change my clothes. Until there my husband and my daughter still could with me. Around 10 o'clock I laid down on the bed, a nurse sent me to a operation room. The hospital is big but don't worry about you will be lost because the sign is very clear. When you register they will give you a colorful wristbard on your waist and you just have to follow the line on the floor which one's colour same as your wristbard. In that hospital the floor has 3 different colours: red, blue, yellow.
The operation room's nurse checked my information again and told me now I will do a surgeon. Until that time I wasn't nervous, but when they put a mask on my mouth, suddenly I felt different, I became nervous. The doctor told me don't worry, all the things will be fine. then I felt a little bit pain on my arm after that I lost my mind. I don't know after how long I heard someone called my name I opened my eyes hardly and the doctor told me it finished then I slept again. I heard a lot of noise and people talking and laughing when second time I tried to open my eyes, but I coldn't. I tried many times, little by little I could open a little bit my eyes I saw the nurse walked around and I saw a clock it was 11:45 am, but in that time I still could not see very clear. After 15 minutes I complete awoke up, I knew that I was in a different room. I saw several patients just like me laid down on the bed. This feeling just like in the movie, after people lost their mind and try to awake up, they could not see things very clear. At 12:30 the nurse sent me to other room, in that room my husband and my daughter could come with me. I stayed in that room around 2 hours, it was a time we have to pick up my son who is in the school. The nurse said ok and told me several things I should pay attention, then an other nurse used a wheelchair and send me to the hospital door.
After surgeon I just have eaten a pill for pain and one day aspirin. It is un-believalbe in my home town. First of all I should stay at hospital at least a week and I have to get shot until I can go home. Second I have to pay a lot of money for this operation. In Canada it is free.
Even though Canada's medical treatment system has many problems, such as usually people should wait a long time to see a doctor, and doesn't has enough medical treatment resources, I still like Canada's hospital. The works are really nice and kind, people can get equitable treatment. It is not depends you have money or not.
