IEP Conference

We had a field trip to IEP conference on last Friday. Before the trip my classmate Hao and I decided that we went to together with our kids. But, when I got home  last Thursday, I got a call from the hospital. The hospital asked me to take a blood test on Friday because I have a gall-stone surgery on February 27. I thought maybe I couldn't go on the trip. So I called the Hao and told her I wouldn't go to IEP conference. Later that night when I talked to my husband about our trip, he said " you should go. It is a good chance to you for practice English. You can change your appointment to next Wednesday and I will take a day off to take care kids.''  So I changed mind, I called Hao again, but her telephone still couldn't connect. I had to go by myself.

On Friday my daughter and I took around one hour by subway to IEP conference. When we arrived, the staff told me I couldn't take my kid to the meeting room,  I can only go through the market. But when I wanted go to market the other staff told me kid couldn't go to the market because they have so many people in there, it is danger. I have no idea what I should to do. I just stood at the entry to wait our teacher Joseph. Finally, Joseph came. I told him what happened. He said no problem, he could take care my kid and let me look around.

I went to the Market place and tried to talk with people to practice my English. I also got some useful information and some free pens. I was taking in the specialized seminars for the accountancy. This was a good chance to practice my listening skills although I couldn't understand hundred percent of what they were talking about. IEP conference is a good place for people who want to find a professional job. They will give people a lot of information and advice.

I feel so sorry about Hao because me she did not go to IEP conference.  I'm extremely grateful to my teacher Joseph,  if not for him, I would not have made it to IEP. My daughter and I had a good time in IEP Conference.
